As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and quality when cutting material in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. This role is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate saw equipment to cut materials to specified dimensions with accuracy and precision.
- Inspect cut pieces to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on the saw equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Pick and stage feedstock for fulfillment orders.
- Break down bulk bundles for customer‑specific orders.
- Package material to customer requirements.
- Operate a sit‑down or side‑loader forklift to move material as needed.
- Complete paperwork and SAP work order confirmation for shipping/receiving on computer.
- Maximum productivity for finished goods creation.
- Perform other duties as assigned; duties may change at any time with or without notice.
Requirements
- Successfully pass a skills‑based assessment evaluating reading, math, inspection & measurement, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
- Minimum 2 years of similar job experience preferred.
- Regular attendance.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer.
- Physical ability to pass the physical requirements exam for vision, hearing, and mobility.
- Successful candidates will be enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program as part of onboarding and new‑hire training.
Salary: $25.32 – $28.72 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.
