Overview
Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Attach trim to door subassembly. Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and operates production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Reads and interprets blueprints to select, position and secure machinery.
- Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, in a timely fashion.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Multi-tasker with good organizational skills for managing stock and/or specials.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skill / Abilities
- Knowledge of pneumatic equipment such as nail gun, screw gun, stapler, router, tape measure, square.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity.
- Must work at a fast pace where it is physically demanding.
- Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours.
- Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement.
- Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris.
- Ability to read tape measure to 1/32" inch and understand bill of materials.
- Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
- Follow all operational and safety SOPs as written.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent; preferred not required.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferred.
