Job description

Shift: 1st shift - Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. Overtime on Saturdays 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Overview

Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Attach trim to door subassembly. Uses hand tools and small power tools to assemble units.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Reads and interprets blueprints to select, position and secure machinery.
• Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, in a timely fashion.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Multi-tasker with good organizational skills for managing stock and/or specials.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skill / Abilities

• Knowledge of pneumatic equipment such as nail gun, screw gun, stapler, router, tape measure, square.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bending, twisting, stooping, excellent dexterity.
• Must work at a fast pace where it is physically demanding.
• Strong eye/hand coordination. Standing for long continuous hours.
• Constant attention to detail and accuracy of material placement.
• Concentration on proper lifting and ensure floors are kept free of debris.
• Ability to read tape measure to 1/32" inch and understand bill of materials.
• Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
• Follow all operational and safety SOPs as written.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent; preferred not required.
• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferred.
