Job summary

Columbus McKinnon in Hartland, WI is seeking a Saw Operator to fabricate customized parts per prints. The role operates a saw, sets up measurements, and feeds material while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, perform quality checks with micrometers and calipers, and collaborate with leads and planners. This full-time position offers a climate-controlled facility, paid holidays, and benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• Machine operating background preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and organizes work orders.
• Set up measurements on the saw.
• Supplies the bar feeder with appropriate material.
• Runs and operates the saw.
• Deburrs finished parts using deburring wheel or other hand tools if necessary.
• Perform quality checks and measure finished parts using hand measurement tools, (micrometers, calipers, plug gauges & profiling) to determine if they are within tolerance.
• Logs date and other details of job on work order.
• Communicate material needs to the lead and production planners.
• Performs basic PM’s and 5S in area as required.

Job Summary/Overview

This Position operates the saw to create customized parts within tolerance of prints.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday
6am - 2:30pm

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Reviews and organizes work orders.
