Job summary

Columbus McKinnon Corporation is seeking a skilled saw operator for a Monday–Friday 6am–2:30pm shift in Hartland, WI. The role focuses on operating the saw to produce parts within blueprint tolerances, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Responsibilities include setting up measurements, supplying material, running the saw, deburring parts, performing quality checks with micrometers and calipers, and logging job details. The team environment stresses communication and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Machine operating background preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to lift/lower/push/pull up to 40 lbs safely.

  • Communicate material needs to the lead and production planners.
  • Performs basic PMs and 5S in area as required.

Job Summary/Overview

This Position operates the saw to create customized parts within tolerance of prints.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday

6am - 2:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Reviews and organizes work orders.
  • Set up measurements on the saw.
  • Supplies the bar feeder with appropriate material.
  • Runs and operates the saw.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and solid blueprint reading skills.
  • Ability to think abstractly to deal with ambiguous/undefined problems.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust priories to reflect changing needs or job demands.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
