Responsibilities

• Saw Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate the Hyd-Mech saw machine to cut raw materials safely and productively.
• Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift and overhead crane to move, load, and unload heavy parts and raw stock.
• Quality Control: Use calipers, levels, angle finders, and tape measures to verify part dimensions; identify if parts are cut to length, out of square, out of level, or twisted and require a recut.
• Pre-Production Prep: Utilize grinders to deburr and prepare parts prior to or following the cutting process.
• Blueprint Reading & Diagnostics: Read and interpret technical blueprints; verify work orders against prints and road map, elevating discrepancies to supervisor.
• Computer & Administrative Tasks: Use standard computer skills for work order scanning and data entry into production spreadsheets.

This position requires strong material handling skills, precision measurement capabilities, and the ability to interpret technical prints. Training will be provided on the 1st shift before transitioning to the permanent 2nd-shift schedule.

• Saw Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate the Hyd-Mech saw machine to cut raw materials safely and productively.
