Hydro Extrusion USA, LLC is seeking a Saw Operator in Phoenix, AZ to operate billet saws, identify billets for traceability, and move materials across the facility using forklifts and overhead cranes. The role supports nightly production schedules and emphasizes safety and efficiency.

Starting at $23.76/hour with a $1.00/hour shift differential for Night Shift; reliable documentation and adherence to LOTO procedures are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment adhering to policies and procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for routine equipment adjustments and identifying issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and safely shut down billet saws and banding equipment to meet daily production schedules.
• Accurately stamp, tag, and identify billets for traceability and inventory accuracy.
• Move materials using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other handling equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, change saw blades as needed, and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete production documentation and records accurately and on time.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout safety procedures and safe work practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and support housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives.

Starting Rate of pay: $23.76/hour

Shifts Available and Hours

Night Shift

5:45PM - 6:15AM

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

What you will be doing

• Operate, set up, and safely shut down billet saws and banding equipment to meet daily production schedules.

What will make you successful

Required Education/Experience:

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, safety procedures, and production documentation.
• Ability to safely work in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform routine equipment adjustments and identify operational issues.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working overtime or rotating shifts as needed.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial experience.
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment.
• Experience working in a heavy industrial, metals, casting, or extrusion environment.
