Job description

Operates horizontal band saw, vertical band saw, and deburr parts after cutting.

Responsibilities

• Position materials in work areas and yard.
• Operate machinery as instructed to cut and deburr raw material according to cut sheets and prints.
• Use hand tools to assemble or disassemble parts or assemblies as directed.
• Assist others in work assignments or work as instructed by the Shop Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe working environment; promote and follow safe work practices; comply with company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area; clean up employee work station at the completion of each job or at the end of shift.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma, G.E.D., or one (1) to three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience as determined by the Shop Supervisor or the Operations Manager. Strong math and communication skills required. Ability to read a drawing and design documents accurately. Ability to read a tape measure is required.
