Job summary

Basic Job Functions

• Assists workers engaged in the fabrication of structural or sheet metal products by performing any combination of the following tasks: Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machines to assist in fitting.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work-in-progress by hand or truck.
• Cuts material using a saw cutting machine; a bandsaw cutting, particularly cutting multiple dimensions of square tubing, including structural channel. Might work on I-Beam cutting as well.
• Reads drawings and blueprints.
• Understand and follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Performs other duties as assigned.
