Job summary

AHI, a member of The Baillie Group, is seeking an experienced saw filer at our North Garden, VA facility. This is a first shift, full-time position offering steady hours and the chance to join a skilled team.

You will sharpen, repair and maintain band saws, care for shop equipment, and follow all safety and environmental rules. The role requires independence and precision; training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Machinist preferred.
• Saw shop experience preferred; training available for right candidate.
• Band mill alignment/maintenance experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Sharpen, repair and maintain band saws.
• Maintain saw shop equipment and facilities.
• Follow plant safety and environmental guidelines and procedures.

AHI, a member of The Baillie Group, is looking for an experienced saw filer to join our team of skilled professionals in their North Garden, VA. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our team as a first shift saw filer. This opening is full time and a permanent opportunity working for us. We believe in continuous improvement for our facilities and our employees.

Saw Shop Filer Pay & Benefits:

• First Shift
• Full Time Hours
• Overtime Hours and Pay
• Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Salary: $20 - $25/hour *
• Full Plan of Benefits including 401k

Saw Shop Filer Responsibilities:

• Sharpening, repairing and maintaining band saws
• Maintaining saw shop equipment and facilities
• Adherence to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Ability to work independently
• Capable of working efficiently/safe as well as keeping a high level of precision

Saw Shop Filer Qualifications:

• Experience as a Machinist considered
• Saw shop experience is highly preferred, but may be willing to train the right candidate
• Band mill alignment and maintenance experience helpful, but not required
• Must be self motivated and organized
