Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Gainesville, GA is seeking a manufacturing associate to join our team. You will follow safety protocols, participate in shift meetings, and perform STOP observations while upholding strict quality standards and tolerances.

Role requires ability to work any shift, communicate in English, and lift up to 100 lbs with a partner. Growth opportunities exist within a large, global aluminium and renewable energy company.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
• Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; good verbal communications skills a plus.
• Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must demonstrate ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs with a partner on a repetitive basis.
• Successful score on job skills assessment and reading/math comprehension.

Hourly Rate: $21.72 to start; $22.00 at 90 Days

What you will be doing

• Follow all safety protocols.
• Participate in pre and post shift meetings.
• Complete STOP observations as needed.
• Have complete understanding of company quality standards and standard tolerances.
• Maintain acceptable levels of internal scrap- less than 1.5%.
• Maintain acceptable levels of customer returns- less than 0.5%.

What will make you successful?

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
• Minimum of 1 Year Manufacturing Experience desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively, with fluency in English; Good verbal
  communications skills a plus.
• Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs. With a partner on a repetitive basis.
• Successful score on job skills assessment. Will be assessed by internal or external sources to verify job skills, as well as reading and math comprehension.
