Job summary

Norsk Hydro in Gainesville, GA is seeking candidates to join our manufacturing team on the night shift. The role involves adhering to safety protocols, attending pre and post shift meetings, and maintaining housekeeping standards to ensure quality and efficiency.

You will be evaluated on safety, quality compliance, and ability to operate in a non-climate-controlled environment, including lifting up to 100 lbs with a partner and completing required skill assessments.

Starting Rate of pay: $21.72/HR

Shift Premium: $1.00/hour extra for shift differential

Shifts Available and Hours: 12-hour continental shifts nights available 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

What you will be doing

• Follow all safety protocols.
• Participate in pre and post shift meetings.
• Maintain department housekeeping standards.
• Complete STOP observations as needed.
• Have complete understanding of company quality standards and standard tolerances.
• Maintain acceptable levels of internal scrap- less than 1.5%.
• Maintain acceptable levels of customer returns- less than 0.5%.

Required education and experience

• Must be willing to work any shift assigned.
• Ability to communicate effectively, with fluency in English preferred.
• Must be willing to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Be able to lift to 100 lbs. with a partner.
• Successful score on job skills assessment. Will be assessed by internal or external source to verify job skills, as well as reading and math comprehension.

• HSD or GED preferred.
