Job summary

Six Flags Great Adventure is seeking an on-site Housekeeper to clean guest rooms and public areas daily, restock amenities, and help with laundry coordination. You will interact with guests, ensure safety standards, and maintain inventory for supplies.

The role requires staying physically active, reading cleaning labels, and reliably handling morning, evening, and weekend shifts. Prior housekeeping is preferred, but not required, with a friendly, proactive attitude.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to perform physical and repetitive tasks.
• Must read chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets for cleaning substances.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
• Friendly, outgoing "people" person with a good attitude and smile.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must communicate effectively in English (read, speak, write).
• Must maintain a strong commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all areas of guest rooms and public areas such as entryways, walkways, and restrooms.
• Remove dirty linen, replenish guest amenities, dust, vacuum, empty trash, mop/sweep floors.
• Remove and replace trash can liners in rooms and public areas.
• Deliver any additional amenities requested by guests.
• Prepare dirty laundry to be sent out to laundry company or wardrobe.
• Organize, fold and prepare clean laundry when returned.
• Transport laundry to and from the wardrobe building.
• Take inventory and submit periodic inventory orders to ensure supplies are purchased in a timely manner.
• Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services and resolve guests' complaints and concerns.
• Note any room damage or repairs to the appropriate parties.
• Maintain and stock housekeeping carts, storage rooms, and closets.
• Report guest property left in rooms to the front desk and manager on duty.
• Check for damaged linens and terry.
• Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and surfaces.

Pay

Pay: $18.00 per Hour

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all areas of guest rooms and public areas such as entryways, walkways, and restrooms


• Responsible for removing dirty linen, replenishing guest amenities, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, mopping/sweeping floors, etc.


• Remove and replacing trash can liners in rooms and public areas


• Deliver any additional amenities requested by guest


• Prepare dirty laundry to be sent out to laundry company or wardrobe


• Organize, fold and prepare clean laundry when returned


• Transport laundry to and from our wardrobe building

• Reports and documents any guest property that may be leftover in the room directly to the front desk and manager on duty

• Dust & clean room decorations, appliances, & structural surfaces (i.e. wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.)


• Speaking and interacting with guests in a friendly manner

Qualifications

• 18 years or older


• Previous Housekeeping experience preferred, but not required


• Ability to preform physical and repetitive tasks


• Must be able to read chemical labels and Safety Data Sheets for cleaning substances


• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for extended periods of time


• Must be a friendly, outgoing \"people\" person with a good attitude and smile

• Knowledgeable in all Hotel, Theme Park, Water Park, and Safari hours of operation & offerings
