Qualifications

  • Previous sauté cook experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
  • Must be available to work full-time and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Cook menu items on the sauté station according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Follow portion controls and quality specifications for all food preparations.
  • Execute food production and service for assigned kitchen stations.
  • Recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, seafood, dairy, and meat products.
  • Maintain assigned workstation in a clean, organized, safe, and sanitary condition.
  • Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Handle food in accordance with local health department regulations and food safety guidelines.
  • Utilize proper food handling techniques while minimizing waste and unnecessary expense.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
  • Follow safety regulations and report injuries, unsafe conditions, or unsafe work practices to management.
  • Attend training and educational sessions as assigned.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, holidays, and weekends.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and job-related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.

Job Summary:
