Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC is seeking a Packaging Member at the Meadowside facility to manufacture high-quality sausage products on the production line. You will help ensure safety, yields, and efficiency while learning new packaging technologies and participating in daily meetings.

We offer a daytime shift from 5:30am to 2:30pm, with overtime as production demands. Reasonable lifting, GMP compliance, and teamwork are essential as you contribute to Johnsonville's recognized quality and culture.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong math background.
• Must be able to complete production documentation accurately.
• Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must maintain GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Able to actively participate in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills needed.
• Ability to see warning devices and respond.
• Monitor freezer/accumulation systems and adjust as needed.
• Work in temperatures from +40°F to -10°F with provided clothing.
• Able to withstand heights of 20 feet or more.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture sausage products consistently according to specs.
• Collaborate with packaging team to achieve world-class results in safety, yields, and efficiency.

• Participate in daily Grill meetings and project teams.

• Package sausage on production line.
• Carry tubs of sausage and move boxes to pallets.
• Inspect finished product and enter coding into freezer programs.
• Ensure proper operation of freezer, conveyors, palletizing, and depalletizing systems.
• Monitor product status and address issues to prevent problems.
