Job summary

TKC Therapy in Lexington, KY is seeking a Pediatric Therapist (PT/OT/ST) to join on a part-time basis. All kids are on-site, and you set your own Saturday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, attendance permitting.

Join a team at The Kidz Club (TKC), a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center serving medically complex children up to age 21. Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, and collaborative care with families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in pediatric PT/OT/ST and state licensure.
• Experience working with pediatric population preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; HIPAA compliant.
• CPR (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders for clients birth to 21.
• Develop individualized treatment plans following evaluations to address strength and mobility.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to each client's impairments.
• Complete documentation (evaluations, treatment notes, LMNs) timely and thoroughly.
• Educate families and caregivers on strategies for carry-over therapy at home.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care.
• Stay current with advancements in the field through CE and professional development.
• Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the APTA.

Pediatric Therapist (PT, OT, ST) at TKC Therapy

We are seeking a skilled pediatric Physical, Occupational, and/or Speech Therapist to join our team on a part-time basis.

All kids are on-site, so no there's no appointments-- you decide your own schedule! Hours are available every Saturday, from 8:00 AM-4:00PM, attendance permitting.

TKC Therapy provides in-house, high-quality, and intensive PT, OT, and ST services to children attending The Kidz Club (TKC), a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center. PPEC centers provide daily skilled nursing care to medically-complex children, ages birth to under 21.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose a variety of developmental, congenital, neurological, and musculoskeletal disorders for the medical population, ages birth to 21.


• Develop individualized treatment plans following a comprehensive evaluation to address clients' strength and mobility difficulties.


• Utilize evidence-based practice in therapy sessions tailored to each client's specific impairments


• Complete all documentation (evaluations, treatment notes, LMNs) in a timely, thorough manner.


• Provide education and guidance to clients, families, and caregivers on strategies for carry-over therapy at home.


• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.


• Stay current with advancements in the field through continuing education and professional development activities.


• Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the APTA.

Qualifications

• Possession of a master's or doctorate degree in speech, occupational, or physical therapy from an accredited program and state licensure from the Department of Health.


• Clinical experience working with the pediatric population (medical pediatric population strongly preferred).


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.


• Proficiency using standardized assessment tools, therapeutic interventions, and assistive technologies relevant to the field.


• Commitment to maintaining professional competency and adhering to HIPAA policies and ethical standards.


• Current CPR (BLS) certificate.
