Job summary

BEAM seeks undergraduate students or recent graduates to be Teaching Assistants for its year-round Saturday program in Los Angeles. You will guide students through topics like Number Theory, Linear Algebra, and Discrete Math, while supporting classroom operations and enriching the 8th–11th grade experience in advanced mathematics.

Qualifications

• Be an undergraduate student or recent graduate.
• Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the program.
• Authorized to work for an employer in the US; CPT/OPT welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students through enrichment courses in advanced mathematics
• Assist faculty and staff with classroom and program operations
• Run social and community activities for middle school students
• Build a positive social environment for middle and high school students
• Work with students on mathematics, both one-on-one and as a teaching assistant
