Job summary

Proviso Township High Schools District 209 is seeking a Saturday Tutor to provide targeted academic support after the regular school day at Proviso West High School. This hourly, non-tenure position is limited to Saturdays with up to four hours per week, guided by the Building Principal’s scheduling needs.

Requirements include a valid Illinois Professional Educator License in core content areas or World Language, and prior experience tutoring individuals or small groups.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License in one of the core content areas (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) or World Language.
• Experience tutoring students in a one-to-one or small group setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring to students participating in the After School Tutoring Program.
• Collaborate with colleagues regarding student assignments.
• Maintain accurate records, including student attendance logs.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by the Building Principal.
