Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to help architect advanced test infrastructure and backbone tooling for automated satellite testing operations.

You will work on end-to-end systems spanning frontend, backend, data, and AI/ML layers, ingest telemetry, detect anomalies, and support rapid manufacturing scalability, with an export-control requirement for U.S. citizenship or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Contribute production-quality code across front-end interfaces, backend services, data infrastructure, and AI/ML layers.
• Design and build components of intelligent systems that ingest telemetry to detect anomalies in real-time and predict failures.
• Develop an understanding of satellite hardware, ground gateway systems, and backend services to architect data solutions.
• Build agents capable of tracing root causes across satellite buses, inter-satellite links, and ground stations.
• Design natural language systems that fuse real-time telemetry with historical data for context-aware queries.
