Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an Integration & Test Engineer to act as the integration and test authority for assigned projects.

You will verify requirements, develop test plans, and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to meet cost and schedule goals. The role requires a BS in a technical field, experience with test equipment, Python and Linux, and familiarity with satellite telemetry.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with commercial test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, VNA, Oscilloscope, WAN Emulator).
• Proficiency with Python and Linux.
• Ability to create test plans and procedures in MS Word.
• Strong communication with program leadership and customers.
• Experience with satellite telemetry and EPOCH Product Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decipher technical contractual requirements and allocate them to test cases within the project’s test plan.
• Create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and coordinate with Engineering Support to procure parts and build systems.
• Create test procedures and automated test software to verify product’s compliance with requirements.
• Perform customer witnessed acceptance testing of project hardware.
• Manage requirements traceability through verification, using a Requirements Verification Matrix.
• Develop requirements for creating test simulators or custom test tools.
• Assess project technical risks and provide mitigation plans around testability.
• Coordinate review, presentation, and release of test documentation to support compliance (including Technical Interchange Meetings, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews).
• Coordinate with Project Engineer & PM, design team and management to communicate impediments or delays in completing tasks.
• Travel as necessary to support system integration, testing, and customer meetings.
