Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze secondary structures and PCBA assemblies for satellite systems in a hands-on, collaborative role. You will translate trade studies into robust, production-friendly designs, ensuring cross-disciplinary alignment and testability.

The role requires 4+ years in mechanical engineering, strong prototyping experience, and familiarity with NX and Teamcenter.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent (must-have).
4+ years of mechanical engineering experience with design and analysis.
Experience with prototyping and implementation.

Responsibilities

Mechanical design and layout trades supporting system architecture, collaborating with Electrical, RF, Thermal, Dynamics, Mechanisms, Materials, Manufacturing, Assembly and Test.
Generate detailed 3D CAD assemblies and 2D drawings as deliverables.
Conduct static, dynamic, and modal structural analyses as needed to support design work.
Deliver efficient designs capable of high volume production throughput (DFM, DFA).
Documentation and presentation of materials for technical design reviews.
Design and support test campaigns, both development and qualification/acceptance, for space hardware.
