Job summary

Boeing is seeking a Space RF and Digital Payload Systems and Design Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Lead) for its Space and Launch division in El Segundo, CA. You will participate in the full program lifecycle, from concept through on-orbit operations, focusing on RF and digital payload architectures for space-based communications systems.

The role requires strong background in payload design, RF/digital subsystems, MATLAB/Simulink and C++, and eligibility to obtain U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or related field; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Interim/final Secret clearance post-start is required.
• Experience or academic background with communications subsystems or payload design/verification.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF, digital, and/or optical satellite communications payload architectures.
• Support trade studies and proposals; define and verify requirements and interfaces.
• Perform system-level analyses and simulations (link analysis, performance, reliability).
• Develop analysis tools using MATLAB and object-oriented software platforms.
• Oversee design and build of satellite RF and digital payload units; conduct design reviews and tests.
