Job summary

SpaceX seeks an Electrical Hardware Engineer for Starlink optics and satellites, responsible for end-to-end hardware lifecycle from system design to flight. You’ll tackle high-speed, high-reliability electronics and work with multiple engineering disciplines to deliver robust spaceflight hardware.

Responsibilities include schematic capture, PCB oversight, component selection, and hardware bring-up, with travel to vendors and SpaceX sites as needed. Seattle-area based, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or related STEM field.
• 1+ years of circuit, electronics, or hardware design experience (internships/co-ops allowed).

Responsibilities

• Develop high-reliability electronics for satellites and spacecraft.
• Capture requirements, perform trades, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, and hardware bring-up.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
• Collaborate with mechanical, optical, thermal, software, test engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Challenge assumptions and drive cross-functional hardware developments.
