SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer - Optics, Satellites (Starlink) to own end-to-end hardware development for satellite imaging systems, free-space optical links, and high-speed transceivers. You’ll work across electrical, mechanical, optical, and software teams from concept to production and flight, ensuring high reliability and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or related STEM field.
• Minimum 1 year designing circuits, electronics, or hardware (internships/co-ops allowed).
• Strong programming and cross-functional collaboration skills are expected.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop high-reliability electronics for satellites and spacecraft.
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout and hardware bring-up.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
• Collaborate with mechanical, optical, thermal, software and test teams to deliver integrated hardware.
• Challenge assumptions and learn from mistakes with an open mind.
