Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics LLC at the Vandenberg Remote Tracking Station is seeking a Satellite Operator/Controller to execute satellite operations and maintenance to sustain communications-electronics equipment at RTS.

The role involves configuring and operating systems, directing operational events, maintaining equipment status, and performing system administration across mission assets. A strong team player with hands-on hardware skills is essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active Secret clearance, or higher.
• Must have CompTIA Security+ or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Associate's degree in Electronics, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiar with electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, signal generators, power meters, and data analyzers.

The Operator/Controller will execute actions necessary to conduct satellite operations and maintenance required to sustain the operability of communications-electronics equipment located at the Remote Tracking Stations (RTS). • Configures, operates and maintains assigned systems during satellite support, test, and maintenance activities.
• Initiates, directs and verifies completion of all operational events during the acquisition, tracking and commanding functions of each operational support.
• Maintains cognizance of station equipment status.

• Must be familiar with the use of and be able to operate electronic test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, signal generators, power meters, and data analyzers.
• Must be able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas.
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead.

Desired Qualifications:

• Have one of the following DoD 8140.03 compliant certifications CompTIA Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC or SSCP.
• Experience working with LINUX is preferred.
• Experience interfacing w/ Military personnel and government customer.
