Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima Company, seeks a Satellite Controller Technician (Trainee) in Kaena Point, HI. You will support satellite operations and maintenance for RTS equipment, ensuring continued operability of communications-electronics gear.

The role requires US citizenship, Secret clearance eligibility, and a background in electronics. You will work with a team to configure, test, and maintain equipment, climbing ladders and handling physically demanding tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Citizen with eligibility to obtain and maintain Secret clearance.
• Associate's degree in Electronics, or 2 years equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiar with electronic test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, signal generators, power meters, and data analyzers.
• Able to climb high ladders, work on elevated platforms and antennas.
• Capable of strenuous physical work: walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, overhead reaching.
• Must have COMPTIA Cloud+ and/or SEC+ or obtain within 6 months of hire.

• Performs all required systems administration on mission related equipment.

The Trainee will execute actions necessary to conduct satellite operations and maintenance required to sustain the operability of communications-electronics equipment located at the Remote Tracking Stations (RTS). • Must be able to perform strenuous physical work to include walking, lifting, pulling loads, bending, kneeling, sitting and reaching overhead.
• Must have COMPTIA Cloud + and/or SEC + or be able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with LINUX is preferred.
• Experience interfacing with military personnel and government customers.
