Job summary

Qwaltec is seeking a Satellite Engineer to join our team at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, supporting the U.S. Space Force 10th Satellite Operations Squadron (10 SOPS) OOES contract. The role covers health analysis, mission planning, real-time commanding, and anomaly resolution to ensure continuous satellite capability.

The position may require travel and some off-hours work. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates relocating to Colorado Springs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physical sciences.
• 5–15 years of experience in Aerospace or related fields.
• Secret clearance currently required; Top Secret in the near future.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
• Ability to plan and schedule operational activities.
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
• Experience developing training plans and materials.

Responsibilities

• Satellite constellation monitoring and reporting.
• Real-time satellite commanding.
• Mission planning and scheduling.
• Telemetry data trending and analysis.
• Procedure development and improvement.
• Software and system testing and validation.
• Train personnel in satellite communications and/or operations.
