Job summary

SES S.A Brazil is seeking an Engineer, Satellite Engineering to join an EU/US based team that supports the full satellite lifecycle from procurement through launch, on-orbit operations, and re-orbit. You will work on telemetry analysis, procedures, and collaboration with engineering teams to ensure safe, efficient satellite performance.

Requirements include 1–3 years in satellite engineering, MATLAB and/or Python, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with MATLAB and/or Python.
• Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of satellite bus subsystems desirable.

Responsibilities

• Continuously surveil and analyze telemetry to assess satellite health and performance.
• Provide engineering support for requirement definitions and design analysis.
• Develop and test satellite operation procedures and test plans.
• Assist with launch preparations and post-launch activities.
• Offer technical guidance to internal teams on satellite capabilities and operations.
• Optimize satellite performance through modeling and parameter adjustments.
• Prepare on-orbit performance reports for customers and internal use.
• Serve on-call rotations to support operations outside business hours.
