Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Software Developer, Network Software Intern for Winter 2027 in San Francisco. The role focuses on designing and implementing UI components and backend workflows for Satellite network management software, collaborating with network operations teams.

You will prototype and develop software from scratch, work with Django and SQL databases, and contribute to user experience and system visibility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with Django or similar frameworks.
• Experience with relational/SQL databases (e.g. Postgres).
• Comfortable rapidly prototyping and fully developing UI concepts with focus on overall user experience.
• Demonstrated ability to personally design, write, and test software from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement UI components and Back end workflows of Satellite network management software
• Work closely with the network operations teams to create software that helps build and manage Satellite and ground Networks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architecture, and design
