Job summary

Astranis is seeking a Software Developer, Network Software Intern for Winter 2027 in Northern California. The intern will design UI components and backend workflows for satellite network management, collaborating with network operations teams to build and manage Satellite and ground networks.

Interns typically work twelve weeks, are hourly, and gain experience prototyping and delivering software from scratch on challenging space-related projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in CS, EE, or equivalent technical degree.
• Experience with Django or similar frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Ability to prototype and develop UI concepts with strong UX focus.
• Proven ability to design, write, and test software from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement UI components and backend workflows of Satellite network management software.
• Work closely with network operations teams to build and manage Satellite and ground networks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define software requirements, architecture, and design.
