Job summary

Elveo seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, analyze, and evolve mechanical systems for satellite payloads and spacecraft. You will model with SolidWorks and perform thermal, structural, vibration, and FEA analyses to support critical system trades.

You will collaborate with Electrical, RF, Software, and Systems teams, performing integration, testing, and documentation tasks while contributing to hardware development and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
• 3–6 years of experience on space hardware design, integration or test.
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks.
• Must be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and modeling of satellite and payload hardware using SolidWorks.
• Perform thermal analyses of components and the entire system across modes.
• Interface with systems, harness, software, and electrical RF teams to inform mechanical design.
• Support satellite and payload integration, testing, and delivery to launch.
• Plan mechanical testing configurations for payload performance in-lab and in-orbit.
• Conduct mechatronics work including testing, assembly, and prototyping.
• Maintain technical documentation for payload and satellite design.
