Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to develop satellite structures and subsystems, performing structural analyses and optimizing designs for weight and manufacturability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in assembly, integration, and testing, and produce drawings, specs, and test reports. Candidates should have CAD experience (NX/SolidWorks) and FEA knowledge, with 2+ years in aerospace.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required; MS a plus.
• 2+ years of mechanical design and analysis experience in aerospace or satellite industry preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD and structural analysis techniques (FEA) required.
• Familiarity with GD&T and aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Experience with environmental testing procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and models for satellite structures and components.
• Conduct structural analyses to ensure performance and reliability.
• Optimize designs for weight, materials, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical systems.
• Participate in assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of satellite hardware.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and test reports.
