Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Ground Systems Test & Integration Engineer to lead the integration, test, and verification of satellite ground mission planning systems in an onsite Colorado Springs environment. You will guide major portions of ground system software development and collaborate with system engineering and test teams to meet customer requirements.

The role offers exposure to cutting-edge MILSATCOM ground systems in an agile setting and growth into advanced technical or leadership roles

Qualifications

Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance; current or within 24 months.
U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.
BS degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Math, Physics, or related field.
2–3+ years in system integration, test, or software systems engineering.
Hands-on ground system engineering, software integration & test experience.
Experience with software systems engineering, requirements analysis, interface design, integration, test, verification.
Experience in test management, including test definition, execution, verification traceability, and testing.
Experience with defining functional & performance requirements with customers.
Experience with satellite ground systems and MILSATCOM.
Experience with Agile development and Jira.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for major portions of ground mission planning system development and testing.
Plan, design, develop, integrate, and verify complex system-of-systems solutions.
Define system performance requirements and ensure compatibility across interfaces.
Perform analyses to optimize architecture considering safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and security.
Develop and improve requirements management processes and risk tracking.
Lead integration and test of ground segment products to ensure proper function.
Create test plans, procedures, and reports for components and systems.
Lead test entrance/exit reviews with clear acceptance criteria.
Coordinate with system engineers, analysts, and software developers for mission runs.
Participate in requirements and architecture reviews focusing on testability and maintainability.
