Job summary

OMNI Consulting Solutions seeks a Satellite Flight Software Engineer to provide SETA support to a Government team delivering advanced national security space capabilities. The engineer will assess flight software, embedded systems, and interfaces across architecture, development, integration, and verification.

The role requires hands-on experience with RTOS/bare-metal systems, FPGA logic, device drivers, HIL testing, and radiation-tolerant design.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.
• Hands-on embedded/flight software development and assessment.
• Experience with flight-software architectures, interfaces, and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide SETA support for spacecraft flight-software development, integration, qualification, and operations.
• Assess flight-software architectures, source code, FPGA implementations, device drivers, and interfaces.
• Review requirements, designs, interface control documents, and verification evidence.
• Evaluate command/telemetry processing, timekeeping, data handling, autonomy, and safe-mode behavior.
• Monitor contractors, schedules, risks, and dependencies; propose mitigations.
• Prepare concise engineering assessments and briefings for program leadership.
