Job summary

Starlink is seeking an Electrical Test and Reliability Engineer to join our Redmond hardware team. You will design automated tests for avionics and payload hardware, select or design PCBA test solutions, and develop Python automation to interact with test units, data, and production docs.

You’ll work closely with mechanical, thermal, software, and test engineers to ensure robust satellite hardware for global communications, with opportunities to influence design through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years of experience with hardware development or electronics test engineering (internship acceptable).
• Master’s degree preferred in electrical or computer engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test solutions for avionics and payload hardware.
• Select off-the-shelf hardware or design PCBA tests to measure signals and apply flight-like loads.
• Write Python automation to interact with test units, equipment, data, and documentation systems.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, and test engineers for integrated hardware.
• Develop models of failures and analyze data from on-orbit and lab tests.
• Drive design improvements with digital and physical tools.
