Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks an experienced DSP Modem Embedded Software Design Engineer to drive DSP physical layer software from requirements through implementation and test to operations. You will develop in assembly, C, and C++ in a real-time OS for satellite modem systems and work closely with hardware teams on emulation, bring-up, and testing.

The role requires deep DSP knowledge, ARM/DSP ISAs, and 5+ years in modem development for wireless systems.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of DSP Modem experience or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience in embedded/real-time systems.
• 5+ years of experience with DSP modem development and test.
• 5+ years of experience with wireless systems (3/4/5G, WiFi, OFDM).
• 5+ years of experience with DSP modem blocks (FEC, FFTs, synchronization, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in assembly, C, and C++ in a real-time OS environment for broadband satellite modem systems.
• Write real-time critical software to augment and interact with hardware blocks (FFT, correlator, codec, DPD).
• Write device drivers and system applications for satellite broadband link management.
• Collaborate with modem and hardware teams to lead emulation, bring-up, integration, and testing.
