Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking an experienced DSP Modem Embedded Software Design Engineer in San Diego to participate in all phases of DSP physical layer software development for satellite broadband modems.

You will develop embedded software in assembly, C, and C++ under RTOS, work on real-time critical software for blocks like FFT, DPD, and FEC, and collaborate with modem and hardware teams through bring-up, testing, and integration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience with ARM and DSP ISAs.
• 5+ years of DSP Modem experience or equivalent.
• 5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with DSP modem development and test.
• 5+ years of experience with wireless systems (3/4/5G, WiFi, OFDM).
• 5+ years of functional DSP modem blocks (FEC, FFTs, filters, synchronization, DPD, MA, equalization, AGC, ACM).

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software in assembly, C, and C++ in RTOS for broadband satellite modem systems.
• Write real-time software to interact with hardware blocks (FFT, correlator, codec, DPD).
• Write device drivers and system apps for satellite link management.
• Collaborate with modem and hardware teams for emulation, bring-up, integration and testing.
