Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Satellite Assembly Technician for a top aerospace and advanced technology client in Redmond, WA. You will assemble, test, and integrate avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies with precision, while maintaining lab equipment and supporting maintenance activities.

Ideal candidates have high-traceability manufacturing experience and hands-on torque/inspection tool proficiency; teamwork and adaptability are important in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in high-traceability manufacturing (aerospace/medical).
• Hands-on Electrical-Mechanical Assembly or Harness Integration.
• Experience in fast-paced production environments.
• Experience with torque/measurement/inspection devices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety in designated zones and work locations.
• Assemble and test avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, fiber-optics, PCBAs.
• Maintain and calibrate lab equipment.
• Support preventative maintenance on test equipment and data systems.
• Identify equipment needs and process improvements; maintain inventory.
• Independently execute and prioritize work to meet deliverables.
• Execute test procedures for component/system testing.
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries.
• Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• Relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field)
• Hands-on work experience Electrical-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, and/or Harness Integration experience
• Experience in a fast-paced production environment
• Hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement and inspection devices (i.e., automated and manual torque wrenches, torque drivers, calipers, micrometers, profilometers, optical inspection devices, multi-meters), as well as standard hand tools

Plusses (nice to have but not required):

• Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) and/or Avionics certification/license
• ASE certification and/or equivalent experience
• CFOT certification and/or equivalent experience
• Experience reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/ or drawings
• Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
• Prior military service a plus

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
• Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs
• Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
• Supports some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
• Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
• You will independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
• Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
• Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (Using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc)
• Your work may include contributing to improving SOPs and safety procedures
