Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join the WSOTS II contract in Fort Meade, MD. This on-site role provides SATCOM transmissions control and operations support to enable mission-critical communications.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in WSOC and SATCOM environments, a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, and strong IT/networking skills including Windows AD and Cisco IOS. Expect rigorous on-site responsibilities and 24/7 coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with significant SATCOM and WSOC experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required or can be obtained.
• Experience in WSOC operations, satellite network control, and IT tools.
• Background in Windows AD domain management and network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Provide SATCOM transmissions control and operations support and analysis.
• Analyze SATCOM transmissions, configurations, and link performance for operations.
• Coordinate software upgrades and validate patches across WSOMS sites.
• Maintain cybersecurity configurations and perform routine audits and logs review.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in WSOC, including 24/7/365 coverage.
