Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC in Redmond is seeking a Manager of SATCOM System Engineers to lead the Customer Terminal (CT) architecture, integration and validation with hardware, software, and firmware. You will coordinate across electrical, RF, antenna, silicon, algorithm, firmware and software teams to ensure robust CT design and verification.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on technical excellence, and delivering complex satellite-based communication systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/CS/Physics or related field.
• 7+ years in satellite terminal development, integration and validation.
• Experience leading an engineering team.
• Experience with communication systems, RF and antenna.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python or C++.
• Familiarity with test instruments like spectrum analyzers and channel emulators.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, provide mentorship and career growth opportunity.
• Develop CT architecture with subsystems in electrical, RF, antenna, thermal, modem, DSP, ASIC, algorithm, firmware and software.
• Develop validation plans, build testing infrastructure, execute tests, analyze data and report results to stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve validation failures by leading cross-functional teams.
• Ensure delivered work meets technical, functional, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Perform in-field and on-orbit validation with satellites.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
