Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Technical Trainer to bridge external stakeholders and internal teams for a space-communications program. You will collaborate with engineering to maintain compliance, strengthen defenses, and advance mission assurance in an Agile setting.

Responsibilities include developing procedures, training operators, and coordinating exercises across stakeholders. The role requires a STEM degree, extensive orbital analysis/space operations experience, and a current Top Secret clearance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field with minimum 8 years with BS/BA; minimum 6 years with MS/MA; minimum 3 years with Ph.D. Additional four relevant years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Two (2) years Orbital Analysis and space operations experience.
• Must have experience in communicating with all levels of leadership.
• Top Secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI and maintain the clearance.
• Experience developing cloud, engineering or technical administrative course work including certification material.
• Experience directly training teams with hands-on technical workshops applicable to the environments they work in.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in leading a team and coordination with program leadership.
• Detail/process oriented, able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides subject matter and Program expertise in support of operator stakeholders at their work locations to answer questions, assist with development of operating procedures, and provide proficiency and on-the-job training.
• Provides operator perspectives and SME to other areas of the project including development and training teams to ensure operator and operational needs are understood.
• Supports exercises involving the use of Program by supporting operator use of Program tools during the exercise and coordinating among all stakeholders to achieve exercise goals.
• Collaborates with engineering teams to maintain compliance, strengthen system defenses, and advance mission assurance.
