Job summary

Centurum seeks an Electronics Technician Maintenance II in San Diego to tackle routine and some advanced maintenance tasks on SATCOM systems, under supervision. You will read manuals, configure Cisco devices, and verify KG-175 TACLANE crypto alongside disciplined cable management.

The role demands shipboard install knowledge, safety compliance, and the ability to document test results and system status for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

The candidate must have completed formal CBSP system-specific training.
Strong knowledge of electrical safety, HERP/RF hazards, and power handling.
Ability to read and execute System Operational Verification Test (SOVT) steps.
Experience with shipboard drawings and installation drawings (IRD/SID/SHIPALT).
Proficiency with Cisco routers/switches and KG-175 TACLANE crypto.</br>
Familiarity with TCP/IP, ACLs, VPNs, and STIGs.

Responsibilities

Apply basic to advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems using manuals and docs.
Plan work sequence, select tools, and test instruments under supervision.
Produce final system status reports and technical documentation.
Perform thorough hardware inspections and ensure proper cable labeling and mounting.
