Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors seeks energetic SAT/ACT Test Prep Tutors to support students in-home across North Carolina. Ideal candidates hold a North Carolina Professional Educator's License or are pursuing teacher certification and have experience tutoring or teaching in higher education settings.

You will create customized learning plans, deliver targeted test-prep instruction, and collaborate with parents to monitor progress in a supportive, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Certified teachers preferred; candidates on path to certification are welcome.
• Knowledgeable about SAT/ACT test prep.
• Experience in teaching and engaging students.

Responsibilities

• Empower students with academic support based on the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
• Develop customized learning plans to help students understand material, not just memorize.
• Offer remedial and enrichment opportunities to challenge and support learners.
• Collaborate with parents to communicate progress, struggles and successes.

What We’re Looking For:

• You hold a current, valid North Carolina Professional Educator's License issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI).
• You’re a qualified teacher in the United States (or in the process of becoming one).
• You’re a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education or an approved educator preparation program.
• You have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
• You are knowledgeable about SAT / ACT Test Preparation.
• You're currently in North Raleigh, Wake Forest, Cary, Apex, Brier Creek, Leesville.
