Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) in Austin, TX is seeking a SAS Developer - Forecasting (SAS Viya) to support the Forecasting department. You will design and develop analytic solutions across SAS Viya, R, and Python, enabling end-to-end forecasting, reporting, and dashboarding capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings strong SAS Viya expertise, experience translating business requirements into technical solutions, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on SAS development experience in a business or enterprise environment.
• 3+ years of hands-on coding experience in SAS, R, or Python.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs, workflows, and analytic processes in SAS Viya.
• Support data preparation, transformation, validation, and automation activities.
• Create and maintain datasets, reports, and dashboards for forecasting operations.
• Collaborate with forecasting teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
