Summary

The SAS Manager Space and Assortment is a dual‑function leadership role that oversees a team of space and assortment planners while delivering high‑impact, data‑driven planogram, floorplan, and merchandising solutions to clients and retail partners. The manager drives strategic value through space and assortment analytics, leading the team, building stakeholder relationships, and ensuring maximum ROI for retailer‑facing initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and retain a high‑performing team of space and assortment planners, providing mentorship, career growth, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with company leadership and cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for resource deployment and enhance support for retailer assortment and space planning processes.
  • Build strong client relationships, develop and present proposals, and secure new and ongoing billable work.
  • Manage high‑impact projects, review deliverables, and maintain quality standards across planning work.
  • Leverage data‑driven insights and planogram tools to uncover client opportunities and develop scalable best practices.
  • Align team capabilities with client needs, maintain strong communication with customer leadership, and optimize utilization.
  • Oversee project schedules and track resource utilization to drive efficiency and improve service delivery.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct Reports:
    • Selects, trains, coaches, and develops direct reports using company‑wide processes and resources.
  • Indirect Reports:
    • May delegate work and provide guidance, direction, and mentoring to indirect reports.
Travel

Travel and driving are not essential duties or functions of this job.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4‑6 years of retail experience with mastery of space‑management technology.
  • 2 years of proven leadership experience.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Experience with planogram/floorplan software and background in merchandising.
  • Professional understanding of Microsoft Office apps (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Proficiency with data analysis and using data insights to support goals.
  • Advanced organization and multitasking skills.
  • Advanced communication skills.
Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office/sedentary work, primarily in an office environment. Ability to sit for extended periods, answer telephone calls, enter data on a computer, and lift up to 10 pounds.
