Allen Integrated Solutions, LLC is seeking an Imagery Scientist - SAR Expert to support NGA’s QA Accreditation of AI Models. The role focuses on acquiring SAR imagery, validating quality, and applying algorithms to operational data.

You will interact with imaging modalities and ensure outputs meet strict phenomenology-based criteria. The position requires 6+ years of SAR experience, proficiency with SARPy, MATLAB SAR toolbox, Python, and Google Earth Engine, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a SAR expert with understanding of collection, phenomenology, image formation, and exploitation products.
• Experience with SARPy and MATLAB SAR toolbox.
• Experience with RNIIS, information theoretic-based image quality metrics, SAR imagery quality metrics, and sensor metadata (e.g., graze, squint).
• Experience exploiting SAR to determine occurrence and location of an OOI.
• Experience developing, testing, and evaluating new algorithms using SAR imagery with Python, MATLAB, and Google Earth Engine.
• Experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences about SAR capabilities.
• Experience in deep learning applied to SAR.

Responsabilités

• Identify and acquire imagery in support of Level 3 Accreditation.
• Develop solutions informed by sensor phenomenology and imagery quality.
• Exploit SAR to determine occurrence and location of an OOI.
• Develop, test, and evaluate new algorithms and processes using SAR imagery.
• Communicate SAR capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Apply deep learning to SAR imagery where appropriate.
