Job summary

Infosys Limited in Austin, TX, seeks a Package Consultant 3 to optimize ERP processes, design complex integration workflows, and lead large-scale data migrations. You will tailor Vertex configurations, integrate with SAP systems, and build secure, scalable tax solutions across digital services and goods.

Collaboration with development teams and architecture reviews are essential. The role requires business analysis, detailed documentation, and training users to transfer knowledge effectively.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and supporting Vertex O-Series in enterprise environments.
• Deep functional and technical knowledge of Vertex configuration including Tax Assist rules, jurisdictions, rates, exemption certificates, and reporting.
• Experience implementing Vertex in extremely high-volume transaction environments.
• Hands-on Vertex configuration experience covering both digital services and physical goods tax scenarios.
• Proven ability to integrate Vertex with SAP and custom application systems.
• Experience defining integration standards including API contracts, payload structures, error handling frameworks, and monitoring strategies.
• Solid engineering background with hands-on experience in API design, data mapping, JSON/XML transformations, and secure integrations.
• Ability to define tax data flows, transaction mapping, and reconciliation controls across upstream and downstream systems.
• Experience participating in architecture reviews and guiding engineering best practices.
• This position may require relocation and/or travel to work/project location.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex business processes to identify optimization opportunities and draft detailed requirement specifications that align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Define and develop solution architecture, steering customization and integration efforts based on thorough business analysis.
• Design and implement advanced customizations basis ERP platform's capabilities and limitations and develop critical software applications in collaboration with the development team.
• Develop and implement complex integration workflows to connect the ERP system with external applications, while leading large-scale data migration strategies to ensure data integrity.
• Implement advanced performance optimization strategies focused on scalability, reliability, and user experience, while leading compliance initiatives through audits, to uphold security protocols and industry standards.
• Develop detailed documentation for complex ERP customizations and lead training workshops tailored to various user groups, to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
