Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Consultant to support indirect tax technology initiatives. You will oversee Vertex O Series deployments, SAP-integrated tax processes, and related integrations across on-prem and cloud environments. The role involves testing, incident resolution, documentation, and driving process improvements to support global tax operations.

Responsibilities

• Support Vertex applications across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with IT, Tax, ERP, Infrastructure, and support teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver project objectives.
• Support and maintain Vertex indirect tax solutions to ensure stable and accurate tax determination processes.
• Assist with integrations involving SAP, Ariba, CFIN, Transact, Transcend, Osprey, and other connected enterprise platforms.
• Participate in testing activities, defect management, user support, validation, and production readiness efforts.
• Investigate and resolve application issues, ensuring timely incident resolution and minimal business disruption.
• Support application releases, enhancements, patches, and deployment activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and system optimization.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards, controls, and change management processes.
• Support business continuity and operational stability for critical tax applications.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Vertex Consultant to support indirect tax technology initiatives for Johnson & Johnson. The consultant will be responsible for supporting Vertex-related applications, integrations, testing activities, operational support, issue resolution, and project delivery across enterprise tax systems and connected platforms.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Vertex O Series, enterprise application support, and SAP-integrated tax processes. This role requires close collaboration with IT, Tax, ERP, Infrastructure, and business teams to ensure reliable tax determination, system stability, and successful delivery of tax-related initiatives.

• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with testing, defect resolution, and release management activities.\
• Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams in a complex global environment.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA integration experience.
• Experience with Ariba, CFIN, Transact, Transcend, and Osprey platforms.
• Knowledge of indirect tax processes and tax compliance systems.
• Experience supporting global enterprise environments.
