About the Role
We will help clients turn SAP technology into business advantage. As an SAP ABAP Manager at EY, you will lead the effective management and delivery of processes, solutions, and projects in an agile environment. You will guide teams, recommend quality solutions and manage risk, working closely with external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that impact your work area.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
- Provide direction and feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion.
- Engage regularly with external clients, participating in working sessions and leading workstreams from planning through execution and closure.
- Collaborate with functional leads, architects, and client stakeholders to drive integrated SAP solutions.
- Maintain a focus on quality, risk management, and delivery timelines.
Skills and Attributes
- Strong experience managing SAP ABAP delivery across full project lifecycles, including design, build, testing, and deployment.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, balancing client needs, risk, and delivery timelines.
- Experience partnering with functional leads, architects, and client stakeholders.
- Proficient in Agile delivery and development methodologies.
- Experienced in application delivery processes and development tools.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing practices.
- Knowledgeable in system development, lifecycle and technology integration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (4‑year degree).
- 4–6 years of hands‑on experience in SAP ABAP development and programming.
- Strong expertise in ABAP, including object‑oriented ABAP, modularization techniques, and debugging/troubleshooting.
- Proven experience designing, developing, and enhancing ABAP‑based solutions, including reports, interfaces, forms, enhancements, and OData/Web Services.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ECC, integration across SAP modules, and familiarity with ABAP on HANA concepts.
- Proficiency in SAP Fiori/UI5 development and integration with ABAP back‑end services.
- Strong understanding of SAP Data Dictionary objects, database concepts, data modeling, and performance tuning/optimization.
- Experience working within Agile delivery models and exposure to DevOps practices in SAP environments.
- Familiarity with SAP technologies such as Solution Manager, PI/PO (or CPI), SAP LT, Data Services, and SAP Security.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client‑ready documentation.
- Ability to research client inquiries and stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Willingness to travel 40–60% to meet client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
- SAP certification(s).

- Base salary range in the US: $142,600–$261,500 (varies by geography).
