The opportunity

We are seeking a proactive SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Manager to join our dynamic SuccessFactors team. Utilizing SAP technology, we address the challenges organizations confront in the digital era. Our approach transcends technology implementation, focusing on a comprehensive, business-centered perspective that encompasses strategy, customer value, user experience, processes, and operational impacts.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and defining user/customer requirements while focusing on developing user interfaces (UI) across various platforms including mobile, web, and tablets. You will engage in coding, programming, and creating specifications to deliver development services that align with business requirements.

Your key responsibilities

1. Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that impact your work area.
2. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
3. Provide direction and feedback to team members, ensuring successful task completion.
4. Demonstrate strong technical capabilities and business acumen.
5. Assimilate new knowledge effectively.
6. Deliver quality client services by monitoring progress, managing risks and keeping key stakeholders informed about outcomes.
7. Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
8. Lead workshops for requirement gathering and design of SAP Employee Central Payroll solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a thorough understanding of business needs.
9. Manage workstream plans and review RAID (Risk, Action, Issue, and Decisions) for the payroll workstream, proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Provide expert support for the configuration and design of SAP Employee Central Payroll, ensuring seamless integration with Core HR, Time Management, and third-party systems.
11. Coordinate with offshore teams and client stakeholders to resolve payroll issues, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
12. Implement regular, off-cycle, and ad-hoc payroll runs, addressing payroll data issues and ensuring accurate financial postings.

6. Complete configurations and integrations with both SAP and non-SAP systems.
7. Proficient in Agile delivery and development methodologies.
8. Experienced in application delivery processes and application development tools.
9. Strong understanding of quality assurance and testing practices.
10. Knowledgeable in system development lifecycle and technology integration.

To qualify for the role, you must have

1. Over 8 years of experience with SAP SuccessFactors, including a proven track record of at least 3-4 full end-to-end implementations in complex or union environments.
2. Strong research skills to address client inquiries and emerging issues related to regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.
3. In-depth technical expertise in SAP Employee Central Payroll, covering configuration, design, and data replication processes.
4. Experience with SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementation in highly unionized environments, demonstrating an understanding of unique payroll challenges and requirements.
5. Experience of SuccessFactors Employee Central integration with SF Employee Central Payroll (SF ECP), including data management and replication.
6. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective work with cross-functional teams and management of stakeholder expectations.
7. SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll Certification.
8. A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at.

Ideally, you’ll also have

1. Prior consulting industry experience or deep functional process experience.
2. Experience with at least four full cycle implementations of your core module.
3. A track record of leading teams successfully.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $141,200 to $258,900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $169,500 to $294,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
