The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive SAP SuccessFactors Payroll Manager to join our SuccessFactors team. This role involves addressing organizational challenges in the digital era through a comprehensive, business-centered approach that includes strategy, customer value, user experience, processes, and operational impacts.

You will be responsible for gathering and defining user requirements, developing user interfaces across mobile, web, and tablet platforms, and creating specifications to meet business needs.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop solutions for complex problems, recommend policy changes, and establish procedures impacting your work area.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods and evaluation criteria for results.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure successful task completion.
  • Demonstrate strong technical skills and business understanding.
  • Effectively learn and apply new knowledge.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and keep stakeholders informed, ensuring high-quality client service.
  • Build relationships with client personnel at various levels.
  • Lead workshops for SAP Employee Central Payroll requirements gathering and design, collaborating with stakeholders to understand business needs.
  • Manage workstream plans and review RAID logs to proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the configuration and design of SAP Employee Central Payroll, ensuring seamless integration with HR, Time Management, and third-party systems.
  • Coordinate with offshore teams and clients to resolve payroll issues, ensuring timely and compliant payroll processing.
  • Implement payroll runs and address data issues to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Skills and Attributes for Success

Success in this role requires technical expertise, strong relationship-building, effective communication, and leadership skills. You should be able to advise stakeholders on SAP SuccessFactors capabilities, perform requirement gathering, conduct testing, and design functional solutions.

  • Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors and Employee Central Payroll configuration, design, and data replication.
  • Experience with SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors integration, especially in unionized environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and application development tools.
  • Understanding of quality assurance, testing, and system development lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year).
  • Over 8 years of SAP SuccessFactors experience, including 3-4 full implementation projects.
  • Technical expertise in SAP Employee Central Payroll, configuration, design, and data processes.
  • Experience with SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll in unionized environments.
  • Certifications in SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior consulting or deep functional process experience.
  • Leading successful teams and multiple full-cycle implementations.
